God’s Acre – “Healing Springs”

Located just 1.6 miles from Blackville Healthcare & Rehabilitation is Healing Springs, also known as “God’s Acre”. Legend has it that during the Revolutionary War, a group of battle injured soldiers were discovered and transported by Native Americans to their sacred healing springs located in what is now Blackville, SC. Six months later, all of the injured soldiers returned to their garrison in Charleston after making a full recovery. In 1944, the land and springs were deeded to “God Almighty” and are now open to the community 24 hours a day for those looking for healing.
